Features — Influencer / Creator Side
Profile & Portfolio
- Public creator profile: display name, bio, niche/category tags (fashion, tech, food, fitness, finance, comedy, parenting, gaming, B2B/LinkedIn, etc. — multi-select), primary and secondary content platforms.
- Linked social accounts: Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, podcast/Spotify. Each linked account shows follower/subscriber count, and (where feasible — see
07-trust-safety.md) engagement rate.
- Portfolio/media samples: upload or link past work (posts, videos, campaign case studies) — the single biggest factor in a hirer's decision.
- Rate card: structured pricing by deliverable type (1 Instagram Reel, 1 Story set, 1 YouTube integration, 1 dedicated YouTube video, 1 UGC video license, etc.), with the option to mark items "custom quote only."
- Availability status: open to gigs / booked until [date] / not currently available — reduces wasted outreach.
- Languages spoken, location/city (relevant for event/in-person gigs and regional brand targeting), audience demographics (self-reported age/gender/geo split of followers, where the creator has access to that data from native platform insights).
- Verified badges: identity-verified, audience-verified, platform-connected (OAuth-linked, not just self-reported) — see
07-trust-safety.md for verification tiers.
- Reputation display: star rating, number of completed gigs, on-time delivery rate, repeat-hire rate (how often hirers rebook the same creator — a strong quality signal).
Discovery & Applying
- Browse open gigs: filterable feed of gigs posted by hirers (by category, budget range, deliverable type, deadline, location).
- Gig detail view: full brief, budget (fixed or range), deliverables required, timeline, usage rights terms, and hirer's profile/reputation before applying.
- Apply/pitch to a gig: submit a proposal — a message, proposed rate (if the gig is open-budget), and estimated delivery timeline. Optional: attach relevant portfolio pieces to the pitch.
- Saved/bookmarked gigs, gig alerts (notify me when a gig matching my niche/rate is posted).
- Direct offers: receive and respond to a direct hire offer initiated by a brand browsing profiles (accept, counter-offer rate/timeline, or decline).
Active Gig Management
- Gig dashboard: all active, pending, and past gigs in one place, grouped by status (see
05-campaign-lifecycle.md for the full state machine).
- In-platform messaging with the hirer, scoped per-gig (not a generic inbox — every conversation is tied to a specific engagement and its brief).
- Brief & deliverable checklist: see exactly what's owed, by when, and check items off as delivered.
- Content delivery/upload: submit deliverables (files, links to live posts) directly against the gig for hirer review.
- Revision handling: see revision requests against the agreed scope, with a visible cap on included revision rounds (protects against scope creep — extra rounds require a mutually agreed rate adjustment).
- Milestone-based gigs: for larger engagements, break payment into milestones (e.g., 50% on script approval, 50% on final delivery) rather than all-or-nothing.
Payments
- Earnings dashboard: pending (in escrow), available for withdrawal, lifetime earned.
- Withdrawal to bank account/UPI, with a visible payout schedule (e.g., funds available T+2 days after hirer approval, or after an auto-release window if the hirer doesn't respond — see
08-payments-escrow.md).
- Invoice/tax document generation per completed gig — important for creators treating this as real income (India: relevant for GST-registered creators above threshold, TDS considerations — flagged for legal/finance review, not fully speced here).
- Payment history & disputes: full record of every transaction, with a clear path to raise a payment dispute.
Reputation & Growth
- Post-gig reviews: rate and review the hirer (bidirectional — protects creators from bad-actor brands too, and gives future creators signal).
- Public profile analytics: profile views, gig applications sent vs. accepted (private, to help the creator improve their pitch/rate).
- Achievement/tier badges: e.g., "Rising Creator," "Top Rated," "100 Gigs Completed" — gamified trust signals that also double as discovery-ranking boosts.
Account & Settings
- Notification preferences (new gig matches, messages, payment events, deadline reminders).
- Multi-role toggle: a creator who also occasionally hires (e.g., hires an editor, or collabs with another creator) can enable a Hirer view without a separate account.
- Agency/rep-managed profiles (Phase 2 — see
11-roadmap.md): a collective can manage multiple linked creator profiles under one login.
